SEC. 857. PROHIBITION ON REIMBURSEMENT OF CONTRACTORS FOR CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATIONS AND INQUIRIES. Section 2324(e)(1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: `(Q) Costs incurred by a contractor in connection with a congressional investigation or inquiry into an issue that is the subject matter of a proceeding resulting in a disposition as described in subsection (k)(2).'. |
Prohibition on reimbursement of
contractors for congressional investigations and inquiries (sec.
857)
The Senate committee-reported bill contained a provision (sec. 827) that would prohibit reimbursement of costs incurred by a contractor in connection with a congressional investigation or inquiry into an issue that is the subject matter of a proceeding resulting in a disposition. The House bill contained no similar provision. The agreement includes the Senate provision. S. Rept. 113-176 to accompany S. 2410
