These organizations may be funded by the federal, state and local government, and/or other entities and they may provide contracting leads with federal, state, local government agencies, and prime contractors.  They may provide outreach sessions and how-to seminars.  Some organizations may provide general business assistance while another will help those seeking to become a contractor with a government.  Its up to you to contact an office to see what help you can get from these organizations.  Below, in the left column, is an excerpt from the U.S. Code that provides some explanation of their purpose.  Additionally, links to their sites are provided in the right column along with some related sites.
