From H. R. 6523SEC. 876. DEFINITION OF ACQUISITION WORKFORCE.Section 101(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after paragraph (17) the following new paragraph: `(18) The term `acquisition workforce' means the persons serving in acquisition positions within the Department of Defense, as designated pursuant to section 1721(a) of this title.'. From H.R. 5136: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011 SEC. 207. DEFINITION OF ACQUISITION WORKFORCE.Section 101(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after paragraph (17) the following new paragraph: `(18) The term `acquisition workforce' means the persons serving in acquisition positions within the Department of Defense, as designated pursuant to section 1721(a) of this title.'. Definition of acquisition workforce (sec.

The House bill contained a provision (sec. 207 of division D) that would provide for the general applicability of the existing statutory definition of the acquisition workforce. The Senate committee-reported bill contained no similar provision. The agreement includes the House provision. From H. Rpt. 111-465, accompanying H.
