SEC. 882. Examination and guidance relating to oversight and approval of services contracts. Not later than March 1, 2016, the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics shall— (1) complete an examination of the decision authority related to acquisition of services; and (2) develop and issue guidance to improve capabilities and processes related to requirements development and source selection for, and oversight and management of, services contracts.	Examination and guidance relating to oversight and approval of services contracts (sec. 882) The House bill contained a provision (sec. 857) that would require the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics to complete an examination by March 1, 2016, of the decision authority related to acquisition of services and to develop and promulgate guidance to improve capabilities related to services contracts requirements development, source selection, and contract oversight and management. The Senate amendment contained no similar provision. The Senate recedes. House Report 114-201 to accompany H. R. 1735 as it was reported out of the House Armed Services Committee.
