Value analysis for the determination of
price reasonableness (sec. 872)
The House amendment contained a provision (sec. 823) that would amend section 2379(d) of title 10, United States Code, by adding a new paragraph that would allow contractors to submit information or analysis pertaining to the value of a commercial item when responding to solicitations. This section would also allow contracting officers to consider value analysis, in addition to historic pricing data, when determining price reasonableness for commercial items. The Senate bill contained no similar provision. The Senate recedes. |
