SEC. 809. REPEAL OF AUTHORITY TO WAIVE ACQUISITION LAWS TO ACQUIRE VITAL NATIONAL SECURITY CAPABILITIES. Section 806 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (Public Law 114-92; 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is repealed.	Repeal of authority to waive acquisition laws to acquire vital national security capabilities (sec. 809) The House amendment contained a provision (sec. 813) that would repeal section 806 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (Public Law 114-92), which allowed the Secretary of Defense to waive any provision of acquisition law or regulation in certain circumstances. The Senate bill contained no similar provision. The Senate recedes. The conferees note that the Department did not use the waiver.
