SEC. 813. MODIFICATIONS TO COMPTROLLER GENERAL ASSESSMENT OF ACQUISITION PROGRAMS AND RELATED INITIATIVES. Section 2229b(b)(2) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking ``a summary of'' and all that follows through ``discussion of the'' and inserting ``a discussion of selected organizational, policy, and legislative changes, as determined appropriate by the Comptroller General, and the potential''.	Modifications to Comptroller General assessment of acquisition programs and related initiatives (sec. 813) The House bill contained a provision (sec. 812) that would amend section 2229b(b)(2) of title 10, United States Code, to allow the Comptroller General of the United States to include key analysis of organizational, policy, and legislative changes at the Department of Defense that predate its most recent annual assessment. The Senate amendment contained no similar provision. The Senate recedes. The conferees note that the Senate amendment contained a provision (sec. 832) which, among other things, included a subsection (sec. 832(d)) that provided similar permission to the Comptroller General.
