industrial base and inclusion of optical transmission components
(sec. 843) The House bill contained a provision (sec. 816) that would make a technical change related to optical transmission components. The Senate amendment contained a similar provision (sec. 804) that would amend section 2509 of title 10, United States Code, to add references to matters of existing law, regulation, policy, and associated activities, and that would make a technical change related to optical transmission components. The House recedes with a technical amendment regarding authorities originally established in section 806 of the Ike Skelton National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011 (Public Law 111-383) that were subsequently made permanent in section 881 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115-232). House Committee Report 116-442 Accompanying H. R. 6395 Section 816--Inclusion of Optical
