SEC. 845. MISCELLANEOUS LIMITATIONS ON THE
PROCUREMENT OF GOODS OTHER THAN UNITED STATES GOODS. (a) In General.--Section 2534 of title 10, United States Code, is amended--
(b) Review of Select Components.--The Secretary of the Defense shall expedite the review period under paragraph (3)(B) of section 2534(j) of title 10, United States Code, as redesignated by subsection (a), to not more than 60 days for applications submitted pursuant to such section 2534(j) for the following components for auxiliary ships:

Miscellaneous limitations on the
procurement of goods other than United States goods (sec. 845) The House bill contained a provision (sec. 823) that would require that certain shipboard components be manufactured in the National Technology and Industrial Base. The Senate amendment contained similar provisions (sec. 812 and sec. 5812) that would amend section 2534 of title 10, United States Code, related to miscellaneous limitations on the procurement of goods. The House recedes with an amendment that would require that certain T-AO 205 class components be manufactured in the National Technology and Industrial Base and require the expedited review of certain applications submitted pursuant to section 2534 of title 10, United States Code.
