Extension of participation in 8(a)
program (sec. 869) The House bill contained a provision (sec. 835) that would allow small business concerns participating in the program established under section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637) on or before March 13, 2020, to extend such participation by a period of 1 year, and that would require the Administrator of the Small Business Administration to issue regulations implementing this provision within 15 days. The Senate amendment contained a similar provision (sec. 5874) that would allow small business concerns participating in the 8(a) program on the date of enactment of this provision to continue their participation for 1 year. The Senate recedes with an amendment that would revise the eligibility date in the provision to on or before September 9, 2020. |
