SEC. 887. AMENDMENTS TO SUBMISSIONS TO CONGRESS RELATING TO CERTAIN FOREIGN MILITARY SALES.

Section 887(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (Public Law 115-91; 22 U.S.C. 2761 note) is amended--

(1) by striking ``December 31, 2021'' each place it appears and inserting ``December 31, 2022''; and

(2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:

``(3) Applicability.--The requirements of this subsection apply only to foreign military sales
processes within the Department of Defense.''.

Amendments to submissions to Congress relating to certain foreign military sales (sec. 887)

The House bill contained a provision (sec. 842) that would amend section 887(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (Public Law 115-91) and make various modifications to the report required under such section.

The Senate amendment contained a similar provision (sec. 5893).

The Senate recedes with an amendment that would extend for 1 year the reporting requirement and would specify that the report would apply only to foreign military sales processes within the Department of Defense.

Section 842--Amendments to Submissions to Congress Relating to Certain Foreign Military Sales

This section would amend section 887(b)(1) and section 887(b)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (Public Law 115-91) to revise the reporting
requirements and to extend the sunsets of the quarterly and annual reports to December 31, 2024.
