Multiyear contract authority for electricity from
renewable energy sources (sec. 828)
The Senate amendment contained a provision (sec. 826) that would authorize the Secretary of Defense to enter contracts for up to 10 years for the purchase of electricity from sources of renewable energy. The House bill contained no similar provision. The House recedes with an amendment clarifying that the authority provided in this provision does not preclude the use of any other multiyear contracting authority available to the Department of Defense for the purchase of electricity from renewable sources. |
