Pilot program for streamlined technology transition from the SBIR and STTR programs of the Department of Defense (sec. 1710)
The Senate amendment contained a provision (sec. 898) that would require the Secretary of Defense to establish a pilot program for the commercialization of products and services produced by covered small business concerns developed through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. This provision would encourage the Secretary of Defense to set up a multiple award contract for those products and services. The pilot program would terminate on September 30, 2023. The House bill contained no similar provision. The House recedes. |
